Do you want to hear directly from children?
Maybe you're looking for relevant critical feedback on your plans, designs or projects intended for children?
Or wanting to test how how 'child-centered' your plans or projects for children are?
The Children In Action are here to help!
The CIA is a group of children from Logan, for grown-ups to talk to who want to hear from children. They provide feedback to grown-ups about matters that effect Logan children. This group is child-led and work together to identify and achieve projects.
How the CIA like to help:
Child centered constructive criticism: using the CIA decision making tool, we can provide you with critical feedback from the children. This will include feedback on how your plans are catering for children, their needs and interests.
Guest speaking: CIA members are passionate about presenting of issues of importance to them, as children. We enjoy unpacking questions and structuring talks on honest thoughts and ideas on different topics
Park testing: we can come and play in your space to test and rate how fun, interesting and challenging your play space is for children.
Children at the heart: this group of children is concerned about their often forgotten age groups. If you work in the local community and want to build you community to include children as equals, ask the CIA for advice!
To date the CIA have been involved in:
2022-2023 Logan Play Action Plans
Stoneleigh Reserve playground upgrade
Hillcrest playground upgrade
Logan Together 1000 Voices Project
Joomunjie Land - Community Backyard
Splash! Community Event
Logan Playground and Park Assessments
The CIA is always looking for new projects and accept membership requests all year. If you are a child who wants to know more, or an adult who wants to get in touch, please contact Hyahno Moser via email.
"Thank you very much for considering the questions that some of the Logan Together partners have built to help us all understand the views and priorities of the Logan community members. We are listening, and we want the children and families of Logan to be at the centre of decision making to shape the future!"
